Weather in Koh Samui

In the last years, because of the climate changes, the season in Koh Samui are not exact as there were in the past. It often happen that in the raining season is sunshine or the other way around.

Normally in Samui the rainy season start from the end of October until middle of December. The hottest time ( between 34 and 37 degree Celsius ) start from beginning of April until middle of June.
The coldest time is in January, sometimes reach 18 degree Celsius in the night. All year round the temperature varies between 18 and 37 Celsius. Short thunderstorms are very common all year round.

The sea is very calm most of the time of the year and the water is usually warm. In the monsoon period ( from middle of October to middle of December ) the sea is rough especially on the east coast ( Choeng Mon, Chaweng and Lamai ).
