Planning your Holiday in Thailand with your family and a group of friends is a good choice for having good time during your holiday.

The first thing you need for planning your holiday is the accommodation.
In Thailand there are thousand of Hotels, Resort, Guest House, Family Home Stay, apartments where you can reserve a guest room. You can choose between budget hotel, Guesthouse and Hostels; to middle range Hotels or 5 stars hotels and resorts. In Thailand the choice is so vast that you will find for sure the right place to stay for your family and groups.

Traveling in groups require a different kind of accommodation in order to enjoy the group feeling. If you are a group of 4 or 6 persons and you rent 3 double room in Hotels or Resort you will miss most of the good time with friends. Each couple will have their own private bedroom but when you want to meet each other, the only choice you will have is to get together at the Hotel restaurant or lobby, you will not have any private communal space to party with you friends. Thew only private space is the bedroom.

Thailand offer accommodation for every need. If you travel in group or with your family, will be much nicer to rent a bigger place for everybody. In Bangkok there are Hotels offering 2 or 3 bedrooms suites. The advantages in renting a suite are many: The space is bigger and with more services and features, there will be a living room where you can meet with your family in a private environment and the cost sometimes is cheaper than renting individual double rooms.

I you want to spend your holiday in Thailand with your family it will be nicer to rent a room, apartment or villas where you can stay all together. Many parents are worry to let their kids sleep in a separate hotel rooms.
In Thailand there are many accommodation possibilities for families with kids. If you want to stay in a Luxury place with your family, several 3, 4 and 5 star hotels have suites with two or more bedrooms ideal for families or small group of friends. In big cities like Bangkok, Chiag Mai, you can find also many Serviced apartments fully accessories with two or three bedrooms and kitchen. In the beach resorts of Pattaya, Koh Samui, Krabi and Koh Lanta, you will find many villas, apartments, cottages or bungalow suitable for families and group. In Koh Samui can find also several big villas with three, Four or five bedrooms suitable for large families and groups

If you're traveling on budget, there are also different way to spend less for your family accommodation. Most of the Hotels and Resort offer the possibilities to add one extra bed in the room ( or bungalow ) with a small extra charge. Many Hotels and Resort it Thailand have the "Child policy"; It mean: a child of age up to 12 years old, sharing the same bed with parent, can stay free of charge. For example: If you are a family of four and your smaller kid is not older than 12 years, you can rent a room with an extra bed for your older kid and you can stay all together and spend just a little more for the extra bed.
Some hotel has double rooms with connecting door in between, in this way you can always keep an eye on your kid by keeping open the connecting door between the two rooms. Some Resort have also couple of 2 connecting bungalows just to fit the family needs. Some resort in Koh Samui, Koh Lanta and Phuket, have also several family beach bungalows, beach cottage with one to three bedrooms and private pool, also holiday villas for families

Bangkok offer many Serviced Apartments to rent. The cost for the apartment it is usually cheaper than the Hotel, the apartment is fully furnished with own kitchen, Tv, Video, washing machine, etc; but in the same time you will have all the service as in the hotel: room service, laundry service, food delivery and much more.

Chiang Mai is a popular destination especially for nature lover and families. In the city center there are some hotels with 2 bedroom suites suitable for families. If you prefer to stay more close to nature there are many resorts outside the city where you can rent family bungalows.

Pattaya Located at just 120 Km or 2 hour drive from bangkok is a famous sea side town with many accommodation to choose from. The center of Pattaya, 2nd and 3rd road, is the red light and night life area. This area definitely NOT the ideal place for families with children. Looking further, just outside Pattaya city, you will find many family friendly beach resort in Jomtien Beach and Banglamung district with suitable accommodation for families or group of friends.

Koh Samui is an ideal destination for families and groups. On the island you can rent Holiday Villas, Houses or apartments where your group can stay together.
In Koh Samui there are Villas with 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms which you can rent for your family or group. You can find cheap house for rent just 1-2 km from the beach, or Beach Villas with their own private swimming pool. The selection of Holiday Houses and Villas for rent in Koh Samui is very big.

Krabi is an small sea side town with many shops, department store and Hotels. The popular beaches where all the resort are located are Ao Nang beach, Railay beach. Here you can find resort with family bungalows.

Koh Lanta island is located at 1 hour drive South of Krabi town. This is a very family friendly island, in fact here you can find many family bungalows, villas and cottages. The cost for the accommodation in Koh Lanta is cheaper than many other islands in Thailand.
