Converted pick up trucks, serve as samui local pubic bus during daylight hours. Running times are from 5:30 am to 7:00 pm. Each destination is clearly marked in english on the front of the vehicle. There are no official stops around koh Samui, just flag down the first one you see, and tell the driver where you would like to stop. When you arrive at your destination, you will pay your fares.

A more comfortable and more expensive way of transportation is
by using samui taxi meter which run around the island 24 hours a
day. In the night only the samui taxi meter are available.
Important to agree on the cost before yoe get into the taxi. Very
often the driver will ask more than the right price.
